/about

Wenya Zhao is a researcher in medical imaging and artificial intelligence at the Department of Radiology, Nagoya City University Graduate School of Medicine. Her work focuses on radiomics, AI-assisted diagnosis, and advanced CT technologies such as photon-counting CT. Based on clinical imaging data, she integrates machine learning and large language models to improve diagnostic efficiency and decision support for complex diseases, while exploring the translation of medical technologies into real-world applications. Beyond her research, her interests extend to artistic expression and embodied perception. Through certification in Japanese cosmetic science and as a Cosme Concierge, she has developed a structured understanding of visual aesthetics and user experience. As a STOTT PILATESĀ® instructor, she further deepens her understanding of human anatomy, motor control, and sensory feedback through physical training. Her work is guided by an ongoing inquiry into the relationship between technological rationality and human-centered experience, seeking to connect medicine, technology, and aesthetics in a meaningful way.
