
Qinmei Xu is a postdoctoral fellow at Stanford University School of Medicine, where her research focuses on the intersection of artificial intelligence and clinical medicine.
Her work centers on multimodal data-driven intelligent modeling and medical decision support, with applications in the diagnosis, risk stratification, and prognostic prediction of major diseases including lung cancer, breast cancer, pancreatic cancer, and COVID-19. Her research has been published in international journals such as npj Digital Medicine (IF 15.1). She has authored 12 academic papers, has editorial experience with Radiology AI, and also served as a translator for the Chinese edition of ESNR Clinical Neuroradiology.
Beyond research, she has long been engaged in artistic creation and practice. She currently serves as the Movement Art Director of Science in Motion, where she is responsible for choreography, rehearsal direction, and stage visual design.
Her dance background spans multiple styles, including classical Chinese dance, folk dance, jazz, hip-hop, K-pop, swag, and urban. She is also actively involved in visual arts such as painting, photography, and video editing. Her work emphasizes the integration of movement expression, visual aesthetics, and stage narrative, using rhythm and space to shape emotion and structure.
She believes that although science and art may appear to follow different paths, both ultimately lead to an exploration of the order of life, the rhythm of time, and the essence of the world.
