Kaiye Gao is a Professor of Statistics at Beijing Forestry University, with postdoctoral training at the Chinese Academy of Sciences and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. His research focuses on system reliability and risk management, big data analytics, and their applications across information systems, economics, finance, industry, and health. He has published over 60 papers, authored two books, and led or contributed to more than 20 research projects. Dr. Gao serves on multiple academic committees in systems engineering, reliability, and operations research, and is a reviewer for leading IEEE Transactions journals. His work has been recognized by national and international programs, including the UK–China Newton Fund. Beyond academia, he explores the intersection of science and art, creatively reimagining and adapting music by integrating scientific concepts into his compositions.
