Jin Liu, is a tenure-track associate professor at the School of Psychology, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. She received her Ph.D. from the State Key Laboratory of Cognitive Neuroscience and Learning at Beijing Normal University and completed her postdoctoral training at Stanford University School of Medicine. Her research focuses on developmental and educational cognitive neuroscience, with particular emphasis on brain development, mathematical cognition, and a typical development, including autism and learning disabilities. Dr. Liu has published 18 peer-reviewed articles in leading journals such as Science Advances, eLife, Autism, and NeuroImage. Two of her publications have been recognized as Highly Cited Papers, and one was selected as an Editor’s Choice article in Human Brain Mapping. Her work has received broad attention and has been featured by media outlets including U.S. News and Stanford Medicine News. She is a recipient of the INSAR Early Career Investigator Award - granted to only 1–2 researchers worldwide each year - and has secured research funding as Principal Investigator from the Stanford Maternal & Child Health Research Institute. She also serves as a reviewer for over ten international journals, including Developmental Science. Outside of academia, Dr. Liu enjoys dancing, particularly Jazz and K-pop.
