Cosmos (Yuqi) Wang is a postdoctoral fellow at Harvard University (Xiaowei Zhuang lab). His research focuses on the molecular mechanisms underlying synapse formation, specificity, and plasticity in both healthy and diseased brains. He develops multi-omics spatial biology tools to map the “molecular connectome,” integrating synaptic connectivity with transcriptomic and proteomic information in intact brain tissue. His long-term goal is to build molecularly informed wiring diagrams of neuronal circuits to better understand brain function and neurological disorders. Beyond research, he practices street dance styles such as locking and krump, and is interested in using freestyle street dance as a medium for science communication and public engagement.
